  • Because they were a stupid 1980s fad? I'd figured they'd died along with hair metal and acid-washed jeans. Changes in the tax laws in the U.S. have meant that most alcohol producers now make alcopops from malt beverage rather than actual wine, anyway, so they're not even literal wine coolers any more.
