Actually, "smart" one, it IS "my boyfriend and me." Would you say, "Do you want to have sex with I?" No. So you wouldn't say, "Do you want to have sex with my boyfriend and I." The addition of another indirect object does not change the grammar. "Do you want to have sex with my boyfriend and me?" Try not to re-correct grammar and be a snotty douche if you're going to be extra-wrong.
Do you say "Do you want to go to bed with I" or "Do you want to go to bed with me"? The addition of the "boyfriend" is not relevant to the proper usage in this sentence. \n\nhttp://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/myself.html
Just did that the other night...We picked a girl, chatted with her while we had a few drinks, and then at last call we just asked if she wanted to go back to our place. Hubby and I have crazy bar skills.
The fact that there is a huge debate about whether it's my boyfriend "and I" or "and me" shows that Bush's no child left behind act worked wonders. Btw, "and me" is obv correct
Maybe we don't care about grammer, but we sure care about grammar. Oh, and spelling, too. Both are incredibly sexy. Mmm, nothing like a man (or woman, depending on what you like) who can use language.
It's my boyfriend and ME
People always think it sounds correct to always use "and I" when really in this situation it's and me because it's a direct object so you have to use the objective case pronoun
You're not supposed to just "watch" you're supposed to participate / help out / get into the action and enjoy. Being on the sideline isn't a 3-some, it's either voyeurism, (which some people like), or exclusion, (which most people hate). So it's ANYTHING GOES or there's RULES of ENGAGEMENT. That simple.
Actually it should be "do you want to go the fuck away grammar
Nerds?" because that way they wouldn't be discussing this. That's what my I'm a grammar asscunt textbook says
Yup it more than obvious that it should be "and me" and if you try to correct people and end up being wrong.... well you make yourself looking like an idiotic fuck and should count your blessings that these comments are posted as anonymous. Pricks.
To the anonymous poster that called "my boyfriend and I" direct objects, \n\nthey are objects of the preposition. Sex was the direct object. It was the noun following the verb Have. (what is being had? Sex.) with is a preposition making boyfriend and I the objects of the preposition. The prepositional phrase in this case serves as an adverb modifying the predicate "have sex". \n\nOh and in this case it should have been "and me", using the predicate pronoun. If the ques
If you want to keep him, it's not one you want to have. Threesomes with involved people ends with someone feeling left out. Hence I've never tried. Threesome with people you just met? More doable.
Try: You're very attractive, my boyfriend and I both think so. Sooooo... [give a light personal touch to their arm or shoulder] We were wondering if you would like to come over and have drinks and play in bed with us? [giggle or smile here] & [boyfriend nods friendly like, (but not leering)].
As someone who has been on the receiving end of that conversation, I'm going to say, "very carefully". Also, I am a grammar nazi, but the rest of you are making my side look bad, so please just stop being on my side :)
