  • Always tip your bartender! They've seen you at your worst and tips buy their silence!

    • They are probably incorporating sales tax in the figure. But even then it is 17 and comes out to be $36.04. As long as the sales tax is 6% there.

  • What bar adds tax? $2 dollar specials are $2. So it's 18

  • That's not flawed math; that's accounting for a five dollar tip... Which, on sixteen rounds, is a fucking joke. After two rounds of not tipping, you get charged an extra dollar for every following round in my bar. It's called asshole tax, and it's what you owe us for having to babysit your shitshow, amateur ass.

    • I'm honestly curious about the answer to this question. Why do I have to pay bartenders extra just for them to do their job?

    • That's a good idea man! Kudos to your bar for that. \n\nAlso you tip the bartender for fast prompt service. Its a well known fact that some bars water down their drinks. Tips are a good way to get stronger drinks. Always get on your bartender's good side.

      • But shouldn't you give me fast prompt service just based on the fact that I am purchasing something from you? Shouldn't I get your best product without having to bribe you?

        • If you tip early you will most likely get better service. The bartender will let you bypass other people who are crappy tippers. Money talks. And most bar/restuarant employees don't get paid the majority of their wages by the owner. They essentially get paid with tips. I got paid an hourly wage of $2.15, plus tips. Tips pay the bills. If you get good service, show your appreciation with just a little bit of an extra tip. Most people really do appreciate it.

          • You still don't understand what I'm saying. I understand the benefits to tipping under the current system. I understand that bar owners don't pay bartenders minimum wage because of the expectation that they will make their wages from tips. What I don't understand is how this idea came into being. I don't tip my vet to not kill my dog. I don't tip the Wal Mart cashier to not smash my bags. I don't tip my mailman for not tearing my mail up. Why should I have to tip a bartender for

            • I always tip well and get stellar service because of it. I'm also always super polite to my bartender and because of that there are times when I don't have to pay for drinks (they'll put it on nontipping assholes tabs) or they put top shelf stuff in my drinks but charge me for standard drinks. ALWAYS TIP WELL and your bartender will take care of you.

              • I, once again, reiterate that I understand the reasons for tipping under the current system. I, once again, ask how this system came to be. In almost any other sector, a tip is known as a bribe and is illegal. Yet, if you don't bribe your bartender or waiter you get shitty service. How does this make sense? If I don't bribe the UPS driver he doesn't steal my package. If I don't bribe the Best Buy cashier he doesn't drop my TV. If I don't bribe the cashier at Pizza Hut, he doesn'

  • $37 is a lot to you? You must have a job that makes minimum wage or less. Good grief.
