        • naw... i was going in for a colonoscopy (the joys of aging), and you're on a jello and clear liquids diet for a day or two to clear things out. \nthe night before we're visiting friends for dinner and everyone is laughing at me as they eat and drink. then it hit me, martinis ARE a clear liquid, unlike beer, wine, etc, so i proceed to drink dinner.

          • cut to the next morning, where i barely wake up in time to leave for the center. i get on the table, and they have to give me more fentanyl and versed than normal, and were sure i'd be in recovery for hours. i woke up less than 30 minutes after they were done, and sat up when no one was looking, which freaked them out. they checked me out, let me stand, which amazed them, and i left, going straight to a cajun place for hushpuppies and Turbo Dog.
